Our journey began in a small shop in Amcorp Mall, Petaling Jaya. BFBW was founded in 2022 by its founders, Adrian and Tan, with a mission to serve the surrounding communities by offering a warm, intellectual atmosphere where everyone will feel welcomed and comfortable. Over the past two years, we have grown and expanded stronger, with over 8 bookshops and book corners across the Klang Valley.
Part of BFBW's objective is also to encourage trust with the community, thus our bookshops are partly self-service, with kind-hearted individuals volunteering at times. Customers are entrusted to pick and pay through a staff-less self-service system.
We strive to make postive changes and be committed to environmental sustainability by reducing the number of books in landfills. We bring new life to used books to ensure each book continues to make an impact. Books that cannot find a proper home will be recycled.
We hope to ensure that our community's love of books and reading is passed down to future generations. As a "for-profit" social enterprise, we offer our customers books at reasonable prices that will permit BFBW to be sustainable.
